I wonder what Wenger will make of this?
Following Arsenal striker Eduardo’s sickening ankle injury, manager Arsene wenger had the following to say about Birmingham’s Martin Taylor:
“I think this guy should never play football again. What’s he doing on the pitch?”.
“The injury is the result of a very bad tackle that is not forgivable.”
There was a very similar incident in last night’s game between Bolton and Arsenal, where William Gallas appeared to deliberately stamp on the foot of Mark Davies.
You can see this tackle below.
Shockingly the referee Alan Wiley waved play on. Arsenal proceeded to go up the other end of the pitch and equalize, but that’s not the point here.
The point is that Gallas’ tackle last night was arguably worse than last season’s tackle on Eduardo, yet we haven’t had any word of criticism from Arsene Wenger.
As usual he’s suffering from selective blindness, insisting “I have to see it again”.
I wonder if when he has seen the replay of the horror tackle, will he be telling the media that Gallas should never play again with the same ferocity he judged Martin Taylor with? Don’t hold your breath!

You are a jealous, twisted & BITTER Utd fan who’s team are FINISHED! Firstly It’s nothing like eduardo’s one! Eduardo’s tackle was a double break of ankle and leg, the Taylor tackle was ‘HALF WAY UP HIS SHIN’ u muppet! What goes around comes around, Karma Bitch! Bolton are getting a taste of their own medicine & That gallas tackle was to let EVERYBODY know that we mean business and will take this title no matter who is in our way, Rooney better becareful or he might get the same treatment when he comes to the emirates. Either way we don’t care what jealous utd fans think because at the end of the day We are ON TOP & City are the kings in Manchester and are making utd look really STUPID right now! U wait till utd come to the emirates and see what happens! Utd look a POOR POOR side who RELY on Rooney, Record Debts EVERYWHERE, No MONEY and on top of that you have owners who DON’T CARE about the club and have their feet under the old Trafford table and have no plans of going ANYWHERE soon! Fergie’s gonna be gone in a year or two! City are clearly showing u muppets that nothing last forever. Utd could go 20 years before winning another title just like Liverpool whereas Arsenal have a plan in place that will see us be at the top in 20 years time!

To be fair, Wenger apologised. Birmingham’s manager didn’t after Taylor’s bad tackle on Eduardo. Bolton’s managers have never apologised for the years of assault their players dole out to other teams. Forget Arsenal, we’ve got enough problems of our own to concentrate on.
