United reject Foster bid

Sky Sports news is reporting that Manchester United have turned down a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The English ‘keeper made a number of high profile mistakes early in the season when first choice Edwin Van Der Sar was injured. his failure to take his chance, despite an extended run between the posts.

Since then, Foster has slipped down to the bench and Pole Tomasz Kuszczac has been impressive in his place.

This has prompted speculation that Foster would leave United this summer in a bid to secure a place in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad, but it appears United have rejected the advances of Spurs.
