FC United Fan – Firstly the begining of your post you write “short term gain, success on the pitch” in reference to my post – I have no idea why as I do not mention either of those points. Secondly, No I wasn’t around in the 70s, but then this isn’t a 70s problem – it is 2010. Things have changed- as you put it “pull your head out-end of”.
Ideally, I’d prefer an owner is purely concerned about United and success and not about profits but that just isn’t going to happen. I’ve read what MUST say and most of it is a load of rubbish. It seems to me like a lot of angry people with not much else going on in their lives so they’ve taken up the fight without considering reality. They do well to open their and look a bit more objectively at the advice they are being given and from whom they are receiving this advice.

i wish unitedfanuk was around in the 70′s when we were in division two. i am guessing he wasn’t?

The glazers are raping united. end of!! 42 million profit when 80 million was bought in from ronaldo’s fee.. can you do simple math?
they have taken and taken and given not a single penny and you rue the motives of the red knights?

I suggest you go re- read the MUST web site and IMUSA’s messages to you as a red and pull your head out.

one last question did you stand up when we all sang not for sale? then meekly buggered off to the mega store?

green and gold until they are sold. learn your history learn your heritage and maybe join the fight to save your club from going tits up? as surely the numbers clearly show.

UnitedFanUK .. my sentiments entirely.

Boycotting matches is the most negative response any real United supporter can make.
It will only serve to the detriment of the lads on the pitch and play into the hands of our opposition.

And as for the Red Knights.
Well show me any business man who says he is not in it for his own ends and the money and I will show you an oxymoron in human form.
Especially if he has anything to do with the betting industry
They’re all like pigs around a trough.

What’s more, it really puts a big question mark about the ulterior motives of MUST and one or two of its key manipulators.

I would rather the history books show 2010 as the year United won the European Cup than some syndicate ousting the Glazers after fans staged mass walkouts and lost everything.

Stop being Mugs. You will not achieve anything by protesting the way you do. Boycotting games is not going to work. The only thing you’ll end up doing is affecting the team on the pitch. You really think that the Glazers care one bit if you knock them for a few million? It’s not gonna come out of their profits!!! It’ll come from the budget for buying players and/or lead to them selling certain players to reduce wage costs and balance the books. The protests are stupid and need to stop. Fair enough, make a point by wearing green and gold but any attempt to boycott products or games will end in tears. The other option of consortium investment is what all revolutionary United fans appear to want. Building a consortium of investors is mildly better if they true United fans but they are still going to be Business Men and they will still want a profit for themselves and they will run the club in a similar fashion to the Glazers. United have built themselves into a global brand-its the modern day epitomy of capitalism. With all the positives it can bring, it will also bring greedy money men seeking a profit. There is no solution other than a rediculusly wealthy business man (like the sheiks) coming in and not being as fussed about profits but doing it more for the prestige.

If you died in the stadium don’t be surprised if they took out your gold teeth and rifled through your wallet! Just good business sense.

It make also numb the effect of the protest in the short term.

criticisms for people cashing in have always been dubious, but I’m not so sure its valid when the main reason they’re being criticised is…well….not having enough money.
