Rooney wins PFA Player of the Year award

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been voted the PFA Player of the Year for 2010.

A groin injury looks to have put an end to his actions this season, but his 34 goals have helped United fight for the Premier League title after losing Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.

Rooney was joined in the team of the year by fellow United players Patrice Evra, Darren Fletcher and Antonio Valencia.
