Rooney: I’m not following Ronaldo to Madrid
Speaking ahead of England’s encounter with Brazil at the weekend, Wayne Rooney has distanced himself from rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid next Summer by pledging his loyalty to Manchester United.
The Liverpool born striker is enjoying life at Old Trafford and aims to extend his contract in the coming months to prolong his stay with the Champions.
“I feel good,” he told the Daily Mail. “I’m playing for one of the biggest teams in the world, I’m here preparing to play for England against Brazil and I have just become a father. Things couldn’t get much better.”
“It’s nice to be noticed, but I’m really happy at United and, unless they tell me otherwise, I can’t see myself leaving. I’ve got two years left after this year on my contract so I’m sure we’ll be negotiating a new deal in the next few months. But I love the place. It’s 30 minutes from home and all my family and I’ve got a great chance of winning more trophies.”

I don't think it's ever been in doubt. He was once an Evertonian but now he's United through and through. He'll be here til he retires.
