Rooney aiming to break records with United

Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney is hoping his team can become record breakers by winning an unprecedented four consecutive league titles.

The striker is in the form of his life at the moment, and is hoping the easy win away to Arsenal will spur them on to retain the title.

“I hope we can kick on and win the title,” Rooney told The Mirror. “We’ve won the last three and nobody’s won four in a row, so hopefully we can break the record.

“It’s closer this year and more exciting. Chelsea and Arsenal are there. Liverpool have struggled but are a quality team and will be competing at the end of the season.”
