I think the problem with Nani is that he winds up the fans with his seemingly poor attitude. He looks like he isn't trying sometimes, in a similar way to Berbatov. Fans can relate more to the blue collar work ethic of the likes of Park and Tevez, whereas Nani and Berbatov, who undoubtedly have more ability, don't look like they care sometimes (i'm sure they do). I think for all concerned if Nani and Berbatov can lift their work rate by 10-15% they can really contribute in the coming months, and hopefully get the fans on their side.

Nani hasn't been consistent with his performances because he hasn't had a consistent run in the team since his first season. When he did get a run in his first season he finished with 15 assists, more than any other player in the squad.

You can't play him for one game, leave him out for five, then expect him to perform when he's hardly played It doesn't work like that. Give him a run in the team and he'll outscore Valencia and create more goals. Of that I have no doubt.

I disagree. He is good on his day but they are few and far between. Have sat through many games and along with other fans, found him one of the most frustrating players I have ever seen. It's a shame as he has talent in abundance, but I cannot take his intermittent form and hope we cut our losses on him. We need someone of real quality. Not just Flash in the pan players like Nani, or workhorses like park. Good Squad players for sure but we need a top class left sided creator. If only we could stick Giggs in a time machine and have him tearing defenders apart, again.

I actually think when on form he's better than Valencia. He's certainly capable of scoring a screamer from 30 yards. He does need to start performing consistently, but he won't be able to do that if Fergie brings him in and out of the team like he has in the past. He needs a run of games and I'm sure he'll cement his place in the team.

Yes, he brings something a bit different than the other 5 widemen we have. He might be a good bet to spell Valencia as well if necessary being a right footer. After the financial news we've had Fergie will be trying to utilise all the assets he has.

I hope so Bill. I'm a big fan of Nani and think he gets a lot of harsh criticism from a lot of our fans. With a run in the team he can be an excellent player for us and provide a real goal threat. I'd definitely have him way ahead of Obertan and Park.

We could be seeing more of Nani in the coming weeks i feel. Valencia is nailed on for the right wing slot, but with Giggs being rotated, Nani could be easily move ahead of Park and Obertan in the left wing pecking order.
