Ratings: Birmingham 1 – 1 Manchester United

Kuszczak – 8 - Dealt with most of what Birmingham threw at him, which was very little in truth. Not at fault for the goal.

Rafael – 6 - Negligible contribution to the attack and caught out of position at times.

Brown – 5 - Struggled aerially at times against both Jerome and Benitez.

Evans – 5 - Passing was poor and his failed clearance fell to Jerome to score the opener.

Evra – 7 - Kept his flank relatively quiet while getting forward very well. We need more players putting in the same effort as the stand in captain.

Fletcher – 4 - Passing was poor, tackling was worse. Even without the sending off he was a 5 at best. Stupid decision to leave his foot in and earn himself a 2nd booking.

Scholes – 5 - Passing was off. Dwelled on the ball too long at times and put himself under pressure unnecessarily.

Carrick – 5 - The game seemed to pass him by. He didn’t do an awful lot wrong when in possession, but he wasn’t in possession often enough to make an impact on the game.

Valencia – 6 - Looked dangerous at times on the right wing, but his first touch and final ball often let him down. not one of his best games in a United shirt.

Rooney – 5 - Didn’t get any service up front and struggled to do much when he did get the ball. Doesn’t seem to enjoy the lone striker role.

Park – 5 – Doesn’t even do a good impersonation of a footballer.

Subs

Diouf – 5 - No impact.

Giggs – 6 - Tried his best, but didn’t create much.

  1. Yet another disgraceful performance by United. It looks like it is very difficult to motivate United this season. Apart for few exceptions, our performances this season have been flat. We lack creativity up front, we are playing too slowly and have become too predictable, often using the wrong system. We have also lost that fear factor that we used to have.

Rather than blaming referees Fergie should look at himself and his players.
We need to improve fast, perhaps by buying a player or two, if we want to win anything this season.

  2. Fantaastic comments allo round – spot on judgement – The Park one is so apt – can’t Fergie see how bad he is – a champioship layer at best !!
