Manchester United have announced that they have agreed a deal with French club Le Havre over the transfer of midfielder Paul Pogba.
Le Havre reported Manchester United to FIFA last year for allegedly “tapping up” Pogba, saying: “The player [Pogba] and his parents refused to keep the arrangement because Manchester United offered very high sums of money to the parents of the [player] with the aim of obtaining the transfer of their son”.

Chelsea fire sale?
Undoubted credit has to go to Chelsea for what is now their double winning season. They have a remarkable record at home which I would say is the greatest in Premier League history. They’ve made Stamford Bridge more than just a fortress. Other rivals have good records but they will often lose one or two games at home each season. We are now well past the 2008 date that Roman Abramovich set for his Chelsea departure but it has to be said he has done well to refrain from splashing the cash in recent seasons.

Once again, we find ourselves staring down the familiar consensus that follows any failure by Manchester United, no matter how small or insignificant.
We’ve heard it all before – our players aren’t good enough. Whoever our best player happens to be is carrying the side, and we’d be mid-table without him. Our kids aren’t good enough. Ferguson is too tactically naive. We need three or four players to improve our squad or we’ll do well to finish in the top four. Whoever our last best player was hasn’t been replaced.

The midfield playmaker finished last season how he started it, on the bench and not in the match day squad at times. A very disappointing position for a player who should see a space for him in the England side, given the regularity in which Gareth Barry has been starting England internationals.
The player had a good first season at the club partnering well with the many midfield partners available to the manager. His strengths were his ability to break up play without the fierceness of Keane or Fletcher and his wide range of passing. However he has struggled to claim the mantel of the teams’ first choice midfielder. ( a role in my view held by Fletcher) His four seasons at the club have produced an average of just twenty five games a season. ( in the league) He has never been a regular contributor in the goals department but that was a well known fact before he joined, averaging just over four goals a season.

Throughout a season when Liverpool have been consistently crap on the field, their fans have been consistently mental off the field. More specifically, on an internet forum called Red and White Kop (RAWK).
For the members of of RAWK, their season has been dire for a combination of reasons, the most ludicrous being that there’s a conspiracy within the FA and Premier League to stop them from winning anything.

After a season that ended with no trophies and no Champions League place for next season, it was hard to see how it could get much worse for Liverpool football club.
Their captain and nightclub DJ attacker Steven Gerrard endured one of the worst season’s of his career at Anfield, evidently realizing that their second placed finish in the previous season was the closest he was ever going to get to winning the title with such a bunch of average players.

Wayne Rooney believes the injury that ruled him out of key Manchester United fixtures at the end of the season could have a silver lining after all.
The United striker hopes the rest he has had will reinvigorate him for the World Cup in South Africa this Summer.
England odds are currently 11/1 on Partybets World Cup to end 44 years of hurt since lifting the trophy in 1966, and that is due in no small part to Rooney’s fantastic form for Manchester United.
