Is Paddy Crerand a Glazer stooge?
Manchester United legend Paddy Crerand came out with a bizarre comment tonight on MUTV.
He said flat out that only a minority of United fans are against the Glazer’s.
One wonders whether Paddy was watching the game against Burnley on Saturday when thousands of United fans sang “We want Glazer out” and unfurled a large “LOVE UNITED HATE GLAZER” banner.
“There are only a few hundred United fans that are against the Glazers. It’s the minority anyway,” he told MUTV.
The comments are sure to infuriate fans who are starting to gather momentum for serious protests in and around Old Trafford. There will be a feeling that Paddy has been told to toe the party line.
There may not be much we can do to get the Glazer’s out, but one thing for sure is that there’s a massive feeling of discontent following the publication of the financial figures last week that revealed the true extent of the hole the club is in.

This is sad but maybe indicative of the way Glazers do their business. We saw it in the way they manhandled the fans with the banner and all close to it. No doubt there loathing of free speech and fairness stretches to all within the club too as do their strong arm tactics. I personally believe we can rock the Glazer tree until they start falling out of it like rotten plums.
If the fans are the only ones who have the balls to tell it how it is and have their voices heard then so be it. Get ready to sail some extremely choppy seas you parasites. A minority…I don’t think so, that’s just pathetic Paddy…

The Glazers are NOT GOING ANYWHERE!! So get used to them keeping their feet under the table at Old Trafford! This is the beginning of the end for utd and fergie! It’s a shame fergie’s reign has to end this way but they say u get what you deserve, and I feel that this is what’s happening now at utd!
Fergie is having to build another utd team after the sale of one big player, I mean this shouldn’t be happening, we should be seeing the evolution of a utd side that won 3 prem titles in a row but we are not, what we are seeing is the end of a great side and great manager and most importantly a great club! I’d recommend you cancel your subscription to MUTV, also stop using the megastore, stop buying drinks and food inside the ground, stop buying merchandise and refuse to renew your season ticket next summer. Hit the Glazers where it hurts – in the pocket.
Poor form from Paddy, but like you say the evidence at Old Trafford against Burnley with the way the stewards reacted to the banner, the Glazers are making everyone tow the line. Hopefully this is showing the fear that they should be feeling and will soon sell the club relieving us of crippling debt.

I have been following United for the past fourty years and has never seen this instiution comes to this state. The Glazers are American busness men and that is the way they do their busness. They have no love for Man.U they have found a fat cow and they are doing their utmost to take all the milk they can get, they just don’t care, for them this is a short time investment and after draining Man. U. up they will leave.

Leave the Club that we all Love to people who have given all regarding what happens. We have followed United in the second tier and cried many a time but one thing never changed, United is forever. You have to remember that Paddy is employed by Manchester United, and what he says on-screen may differ totally to what he thinks privately. You have to be very careful what you say on MUTV. Roy Keane spoke out before on a different topic and that was the end of him.
One thing I will say though is that last nights show was very suspicious. There were several calls all Pro-Glazer, which made me wonder were these calls Plants, in an attempt to somewhat diffuse the situation in the minds of the more gullible fans.
The debt situation is serious. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can do the figures for themselves, but I have to disagree with RED. Cancelling MUTV and not buying merchandise etc is only pushing the club into the quicksand it’s already in.

The managers decision not to spend £30 million on Benzema has been justified I think. He has done nothing in a weaker league that is La Liga, so the chances of him being a star in the Premier League are slim.
He seldom gets selected for France also. Some people say he has an attitude problem, which is something we can do without at United.
There are alot of United Fans out there who have been spoilt rotten with big money signings over the years, so it’s no harm for them to get a bit of a come-down now. These are the type of ‘Fans’ that would jump ship if United suddenly weren’t so successful.
Big money signings aren’t always the answer. Just look at Real Madrid this season, and over the past few seasons. Sure, Ronaldo was a great signing for them, but the rest, including Kaka, have been atrocious. Without Ronaldo, they are nothing, but his presence still won’t be enough to secure them the league, as Barca are a far better team and more organised club.

The show WAS suspicious, I agree. I wouldn’t go so far as to say the callers were plants, but I think at the very least the callers are vetted and anyone who displays even a hint of an anti-Glazer attitude will never get on air.

As an observer i find all this rather puzzling…when the Glazers moved uin every one knew what they were up to and the United support threatened all sorts – boycotts, handing in season tickets etc etc but hwo’s having the last laugh…bugger me its the Glazers. Full houses week after week, a sap manager unable to stand up to them Paddy Crerand toeing the party line on United TV (who do you reckon controls that?)…power of the fans zero – Power of Glazer’s unlimited…you’ve lost the club, You waved it goodbye and did nothing…now you know how the three Chelsea fans who didn’t buy into Abramovic feel feel….
DO NOT BOYCOTT UTD PRODUCTS! I am not happy about the Glazers but you will never get rid of them putting the club under financial strain. If anything, all this will do is force their hand, and they will as business people, protect their investment even if it means selling Old Trafford. Do you want that on your hands? You need to understand that Utd is about the only profitable business they have at the moment and they are taking money from it to keep their other businesses afloat until the American economy picks up. I’m not saying it is fair to exploit United that way but that is business. And if you want to blame someone blame yourselves for allowing Utd to become a business when it was floated on the stock market and you either sold or did not purchase shares. We all handed it over to them. Whether it was naivety or greed… this is our karma. Now suck it up and support your club!
