Nani clarifies Fergie comments

Manchester United winger Nani has clarified comments he made to the press last week in which he appeared to criticize Sir Alex Ferguson.

The sensationalist press had predicted his departure from Old Trafford due to the nature of the comments, but the Portugueser insists he has no problem with Sir Alex.

“I often speak with the coach about my performance. I accept Ferguson’s decision but I want to have more minutes on the field,” he told the Daily Mail.

“After Cristiano Ronaldo left, I wanted a bigger role, but the coach picks the team. Against Chelsea I wanted a chance but it didn’t come.

“You need to accept bad moments, I have no problem with the coach.”

  1. He can be a top player for us if fergie gives him a decent run of games. Unfortunately I don’t think that’ll ever happen. For whatever reason Fergie seems to lack faith in him, so I can see him being sold in Summer.

  2. I don’t rate him at all. He had a good first season but he’s been crap ever since. far too inconsistent and simply not good enough for United.

  3. Would love to see him become a top player for us but I agree with redste, Fergie doesn’t seem to like him cos he keeps pulling him out of the team. I think he could be class for us, but I doubt we’ll ever see his best.

  4. I don’t think he’s said much wrong really. He was right in saying that he doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going because Fergie brings him in and out of the team randomly. It was just the press making something out of nothing as usual.
