Did Liverpool fans use Heysel to mock Everton fans?
Not content with mocking the Munich disaster at every opportunity, it seems Liverpool fans have found a new disaster to taunt rival fans about. This time it’s Everton that are on the receiving end of it. Fans were seen at the game holding up a banner than read “Steaua Bucuresti 1986″.
For those that don’t know what this means, it’s a reference to the fact that Liverpool fans’ actions that contributed to the Heysel stadium disaster resulted in the banning of all English teams from entering European competitions. Everton were considered favourites that year, but the ban meant they couldn’t enter and the winners were Steaua Bucharest of Romania.
In simplest terms, Liverpool fans are using the death of Juventus fans to mock Everton fans. Whilst not being altogether surprising, it is another show of contempt from Liverpool fans who will mock every tragedy going while at the same time calling for “Justice for the 96″.
Similar to the Spirit of Shankly (SOS) group calling for the dismissal of Tom Hicks Jr. for insulting one of their members which they described as “objectionable behaviour”, just months after having a good ol’ Munich sing song at their end of season party. Apparently their definition of “objectionable” changes to suit their agenda. If a more hypocritical set of fans exists I have yet to see them.

“those 96 who died that day are the innocent ones, the ones who got there in good time, hence why they ended up at the very front of the terracing,”
You know exactly what your inferring there, so direct blame or not I know what your on about. And as I said your ignorant to the facts, people died in the tunnel, people who got there late and where in the original crush outside. But am sure you already know all the facts.
I gather by your capital letters you are the first up out of your seat at Goodison, to condemn the hillsborough and heysel songs your fellow blues sing, no thought not.
Oh and am the thick one am I, ha, thats why you accuse someone you haven’t got a clue about of posting bevvied is it. Oh and resorting to insults.
Run along back to your wife beating now son.
Once a Mongrel, always a mongrel.
“Oh and am the thick one am I, ha, thats why you accuse someone you haven’t got a clue about of posting bevvied is it. Oh and resorting to insults.”
“can’t be arsed with one eyed pricks like yourself,”
Pot and kettle?
How can I be inferring that Hilsborough was Liverpool fans fault when both of my posts are in support of the justice campaign? I was trying to remind people of the images in the press of those people crushed up against the fences at Hilsborough, they did get there early that’s how they ended up at the front, I’m not disputing that people died elsewhere nor am I blaming Liverpool fans for causing it. Heysel was the same in the respect that the people furthest away from the trouble became the victims of the crush, the sure thing about both tragedies is that both sets of victims are innocent fact! you have chosen to ignore the fact that the main point of my post was not to tar all kopites with the same brush, and that the campaign should should be supported in spite of them/you.
You think its a “chuckle” to laugh at banners that are obviously intended to cause offence and probably trouble, what does that tell you about yourself? it tells me that you’re the sort of supporter that thinks it’s hilarious when it happens to others, but then wants to take the moral high ground when the boots on the other foot, typical of Liverpool fans these days, Spirit of Shankly? the great man must be turning in his grave at these neanderthal cocksuckers using his name.
You’re right in the respect that I don’t stand up and tell everyone to shush when they are singing those “songs” but I can hold my head up and say I have never joined in with them, can you? in much the same way as you didn’t jump on the pitch to protect Phil Neville when your fans were punching him and spitting at him.
Finally thicko, I don’t beat my wife, but if I did you’d probably think it’s a “chuckle”.
As an Everton fan, I don’t really care what those morons who sing Munich songs say, they are not genuine supporters who represent Merseyside or either club. The only murderers are not genuine fans, but those who choose to murder the atmosphere and bit of banter, banter that is unrivalled in football anywhere else in the football world. Any ground where two sets of fans can stand side by side and rip each other to bits. No fighting, no sectarianism, just familes and friends who go the match together and a pint later. Any morons who come on here and mock those poor innocent 96 and their memories need to think carefully. I was at Villa Park that day, the day we beat Norwich City to get to Wembley as you well know. Blues are blues because we are born that way, but we know right from wrong. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum club, behaviour, supporters, loyalty, respect and morality is why we are the greatest club in the land.
