Keeper confident of winning 4 in a row

Manchester united goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczac is still confident they will retain their Premier League crown this season, despite the recent run of poor results.

The polish ‘keeper is enjoying a run in the team at the moment, with first choice Edwin Van der Sar away on compassionate leave looking after his wife, while Ben Foster has seemingly failed to make the position his own despite being given a run of games early in the season.

United trail Chelsea by a point in the title race, having played a game more, but Kuszczac is confident they can overhaul their London rivals and make it four in a row.

“The league is really tough this year. There’s not much to choose between quite a few of the big sides,” said Kuszczak.

“We have to just make sure we pick up as many points as we can so we have a big say on the destination of the Premier League title.

“There is obviously still a feeling we can finish the season as champions. The league is very close and everyone will drop points.

“It’s not as simple as it was a few years ago. There are a lot of games to play. But I still think we are the ones the others have to beat.”
