Hargreaves makes comeback in training match

Owen Hargreaves has finally returned to action for Manchester United, albeit in a specially arranged training match.

Regardless, I for one am pleased to see him finally looking like he’ll make a comeback some time soon. There were certainly times when I had doubts over his ability to make it back at all, but the signs are now looking good.

Yesterday’s training game, reported by the News of the World, is Hargreaves first game in over 16 months and represents a significant step on the road to recovery.

Hargreaves apparently played the whole 90 minutes and came through it unscathed.

Having a fully fit Hargreaves back in the side will be like having a new signing, which is just as well as we apparently have no money.
