You don’t even have enough money left to build a new stadium. And your new stadium(whenever it’s built) is going to have 60,000 seats only. Old Trafford, on the other hand has a capacity of 75,967 seats with room for upto 90,000 seats after expansion.

Oh so because the papers say so, Rooney must be going? Don’t be so stupid to believe what they fill their pages with. Can you really see Rooney playing in La Liga? He will be getting yellow cards for pretty much every challenge FFS! Rooney is suited to the english game and has already said that he wants a career to emulate Giggs, a long one at Man Utd.

How can you even think about rubbishing our transfer policy? You lot put your “faith” into that waste of space fat spanish waiter, who has you over 50 million in the red since he took over to get you where….7th in the league with your season over by January.

Regardless, even if we did lose all the speculated players, rebuilding a team would be nothing that Ferguson hasn’t done in the past. Championship winning teams aswel, unlike the fat Spanish excuse of a manager you lot are clinging onto.

Arguably United are a 1 man team this season. As for being in a better position than Liverpool well we are not in a position that we are having to sell and lease back our training ground…before transfers last year were taken into account you actually lost 15M quid and that was in a year where you reached the CL final and won the League. Given neither of those will happen this year I imiagine your losses will be much larger and the interest on those loans just keeps going up.

Reality is that City have now priced you out of the market for top players. Their rise is a reason for your financial demise and Fergie knows it.

Firstly i’d have to say that Liverpool are more of a proper football club than City or Chelsea.

However they are our arch rivals. Footballing rivalries can derive from not just from encounters from the beautiful game, but also historical clashes between the two cities.

Either way United are in a far better position than Liverpool at present. Liverpool now have Torres and Gerrard out for 6 and 2 weeks respectively. A 2 man ball club now won’t see Batman and Robin together until March at the earliest.

Give credit where its due, Man utd with all the injuries and not playing well and still within touching distance is the best possible situation to be in as you know the best is still to come. Hold my hands up to that, what I dont understand is every man u fans infatuation with Liverpool? I mean its not like were breathing down your necks so you need to look over your shoulder? Or could it be that we are apart of the whole philosophy fergie built his empire on? The whole way he manages and wants his team to play is based on Liverpool from the late 70′s and early 80′s and knocking us of the perch he desires so much. Form is temporary and class is permanent. You’ll never walk alone!!!!!!

@Dan – You’ve only got to look at the press to see that Rooney is on the verge of cutting his losses! You can gob off to me all you like, lad, but the fact is you’re only crying because you know I’m right.

Your debt is twice what ours is and you haven’t got anywhere else to go. We can generate new revenue from a new stadium, investors and the like. All you can look to is a tenuous deal regarding bonds.

So, gobshite, we’ll see how you get on without your ‘star’ players (the main one being Scouse) next season. Everyone’s getting wise to Slur Alex’s bullying nonsense too, the game’s up for yous, you’re now a selling club who noone in their right mind wants to play for.

Liverpool are an average team.Everyone knows without Gerrar and Torres they look like a mid-table side at best,it was proved last night when Reading soundly beat them,Liverpool didn’t even deserve their jammy goal.United have not been brilliant but it is an adjustment period with losing the best player in the world and an unseen before injury list to our defence has not helped at all.the team is not settled at the moment but we will kick on when everyone is fit.We are only four points and that’s nothing,A chelsea draw and a win for us and we’re a point behind,It really is nothing with four months to play.I think we’re doing well considering our defensive injuries,Liverpool don’t have a huge injury list,just a huge list of average players.Alonso wasn’t replaced and he was the fulcrum of liverpool’s counter attacking.Liverpool miss him a lot more than we miss Ronaldo.

to be honest guys…..i think a lot of people hoped UTD wouldn t be doing well as they are after losing ronaldo and tevez…..but we are 2nd in the league, in champs league, semi final of a cup and as a utd fan ….i think we are playing absolutely sh*te!!

we are only 2nd because everyone else is playing sh*te too! ha ha and that what makes it so funny! if LFC performed like they did last year they would probably be top right now…but they re worse than us!! but we ve had 13 injuries and we re still in contention…..i think its hilarious!!! and the best of it is….when , and thats when we go on a run of form we will p*ss it to title number 19 !!!!!!!!!!!! and it wouldn t surprise me if we hobbled to the champs league too!! all this playing sh*te !!! ha ha

In all honesty last nights result, and Liverpool’s current situation, makes me a little happier to be a United fan despite the current financial meltdown.

United:

Premier League – 2nd
League Cup – Semi Final – to play
Champions League – 2nd Round – to play
FA Cup – Out 3rd Round

Liverpool:

Premier League – 7th
League Cup – OUT – 4th Round
Champions League – OUT – Group stages
FA Cup – OUT 3rd Round

These are all facts – simple as that! And in terms of financing at least we know that United, in terms of revenue brings in more than virtually every other football club in the world.

Interesting that Liverpool forums are down, isn’t it!

You absolute prat, you tell me where Rooney is going to transfer to and why? You can sit there and jump on the Vidic leaving bandwagon, bit to suggest Rooney wont be here September 2010 is simply laughable. This article is not about looking elsewhere and ignoring ourselves, it simply states that a prediction made at the start of the season has come true. In regards to our team, we are still 2nd in the league and have the champions league to play for, unlike LFC. We have played terrible and had 13 injuries at once, coupled with losing the best player in the world and are still 2nd in the best league in the world?
Go figure.

woah woah waoh.. first of all. jacques…. your looking at 3 results that we didnt play well and deserved what we got. and if you look at last season… we dont have to fire on all cylinders to win the league.. so what does that say for pool? second.. mish… no ones moaning about the scousers and we’ve got enough to keep us busy. you out of the f.a cup and cl. and youll prob not even get into the cl next year cause you can only win with torres and gerrard. and football season starts after christmas mates. its a long season to go. so we’ll see about the no silverware thing. plus idc if we have to lose to the scousers to win the league.. cause everyone we win from now on is gonna be all the more sweeter cause you wont be able to catch us.. 18 TIMES AND THATS A FACT… and thats only the beginning…

lad, fair point in that us reds are havin a bad time at the moments i think thats obvious for all to see but your fergie quip is irrelevant. Fergie comes up with the same sort of stuff at the start of every season, i’m sure he probably wrote us off before 08-09. I don’t think people were wrong to expect miles better than what we’ve had this season after last year. I cannot understand your concern with Liverpool. Its not as if Man U are firing on all cylinders. May I remind you that your team has just been eliminated by a team from two lower divisions i.e. Leeds, recently got a hammering in the league against the might of Fulham and drawing against Birmingham — mate, better get your house in order first before criticising other teams. Sure your Sir Alex predicted this Man U downfall!!!
