Fergie: FA are exploiting Rooney

Sir Alex Ferguson has criticized the FA for their overuse of Wayne Rooney for media duties.

The England and Manchester United striker is repeatedly forced in front of the word’s media when on England duty and Sir Alex believes the FA are exploiting him. According to Ferguson, the duty should be shared out with other players.

“Every time England go on a trip, who gets on the television? Wayne Rooney. Every blinking time!” Ferguson said.

“He must get bored answering the same questions, but that’s because of his sponsors and the FA. They love that kind of thing. But it’s not fair on the same player continually having to go on television and do the Press.”
