Fergie bans Sky Sports from press conferences

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly banned Sky Sports from attending his press conferences.

Ferguson is apparently aggrieved at the way Sky have stoked up the tension ahead of tonight’s vital Carling Cup tie against Manchester City by repeatedly showing the incident involving Carlos Tevez and Gary Neville.

Sky’s James Cooper asked the United boss what he thoughts of some of Garry Cook’s recent comments, but couldn’t have expected the reaction he got.

Ferguson told Cooper: “Listen, you come on about stuff that’s of no interest to me. You try to promote yourself. Just leave the football to us, OK. You come on with some nonsense, so you do.”

Sky Sports will join the BBC on the list of people Ferguson refuses to talk to.

  2. the media has come up with all sorts of rubbish. if they ahd been so accurate how come they didn’t spot Chris Smalling being drafted into ManUnited?

I read too many articles which obviously have been spun many times over that they have been so ridiculous.

I think it’s high time the british media stop their nonsense. writing rubbish stories in the name of press freedom. maybe it’s high time we put them behind bars inside Changi prison in singapore for a change.

  4. Not sure I agree with it, but I’ll back him nonetheless. Should just be ignored like the muppets they are. Instead they can now trash him/United for being immature and petulent.
