FA show their incompetence by failing to punish Gerrard

The Football Association lost even more credibility today after deciding against charging Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard with violent conduct.

The Phil Collins fan committed what was dubbed a ‘forearm smash’ on Portsmouth’s Michael Brown last night, sending the midfielder crashing to the floor.

Today the FA had the chance to show their consistency, after charging and banning Rio Ferdinand last month for a much lesser offence, but as usual they’ve bottled it.

Sky Sports News are reporting that “Gerrard will not face any action from the FA.

The scouse DJ beater seems to be immune to the laws of the game as well as the laws of the real world. Well done the FA for showing your complete lack of credibility once again. Do the rules only apply to red shirts with devils on them?

  1. Mate i throught you knew long before now that the f.a only ever punishs a united player, pool/chelsea/arsenal/citey etc can do whatever they like and get away with it…we dare breath at the ref and we would prob be done for it.

    Great article keep it up

  2. Lets not be emotionally biased. Read the rulebook first boys before you spout and end up looking like an idiotic victimised prat: The FA can ONLY take action if the referee did not see the incident. The Ref did, spoke with Gerrard about it. Ergo: FA can not take action, even if they wanted to.

  3. great article!
only one thing youve made a mistake on. “the fa lost even more credibility”. . .did they even have any credibility? hope fergie makes something of this. FA= FUCKING ARSEHOLES

  4. Same old FA…

  5. Gerrard should have been sent off but under the current rules the FA couldn’t do anything because the ref had seen the incident and it was included in his report.

Rio’s was different because the ref didn’t see it at all, it was caught on camera off the ball, so if the ref does not see it then the FA can come in and take action.

Another FA rule that doesn’t make sense…

  6. Didn’t you know that FA stands for Fuc*ing Ars*holes

  7. well if the ref saw it why wasnt he red carded explain please. FA = fook all
