Evra: We played in the right spirit, but I was disappointed
Manchester United left back Patrice Evra is happy with his team’s 5-0 victory over Portsmouth yesterday, but was frustrated they didn’t take the lead earlier.
The energetic Frenchman his his typical self in the 5-0 thrashing, and was pleased with the spirit in which the game was played.
“It was a very good result,” Evra told MUTV. “We’re happy because we played in the right spirit and it was pleasing to score so many goals.
“I wasn’t concerned because I knew we could go on and win the game but I was angry that we didn’t score earlier.
“We scored at the right moment just before half-time. 2-0 made a real difference because it’s a lot harder to come back from. We kept going forward and scored lots more goals.”

Take the money for Vidic, Jonny Evans is more than an adequate replacement. Like Ronaldo, if they don’t want to be OT – adios! Vidics price will go up after the World Cup too so cash in. Brown, O’Shea, Neville and Cathcart as CB cover…
