Evra excited about Beckham return

Patrice Evra is relishing the prospect of welcoming David Beckham back to Old Trafford after the Champions League draw saw Manchester United drawn against AC Milan.

Beckham will begin his second loan spell at AC Milan on January 10th, meaning he’ll be part of the squad to face United over the two tie and Evra has mixed feelings about it.

The Frenchman had high praise for the former United star, but aims to do all he can to ensure he has little impact on proceedings with his famous right foot.

“I am very happy for David Beckham,” said the France full-back. “He did a lot of great things for Manchester United and I want to say to him “Welcome Home”.

“I have met him. He is a gentleman. He is a good person and a good professional. This is why Milan wanted him to go back there.

“I like that type of player. He is still one of the best right-footed players in the world. But I hope he plays badly and I intend to make sure he doesn’t do very well.”
