Evans: Tevez may have been wound up by someone else
Manchester United defender Jonny Evan believes Carlos Tevez has over reacted with his feud with Gary Neville, possibly because he has been wound up by someone else.
The Argentine mercenary celebrated in front of the United captain with his ears cupped, and Neville responded by flipping Tevez the middle finger.
Evans believes it could be Tevez’s own fault for misinterpreting Neville’s initial comments, or that someone has intentionally used the comments to wind him up.
After four years of living in England, he can still barely speak the language, so it wouldn’t be altogether surprising if his under developed brain had got the wrong impression.
“Gary and Carlos are not team-mates any more and they don’t have to be pals but I think this has all been lost in translation a little bit,” Evans told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think Gary said Carlos wasn’t worth £25million.
“He was just saying the manager usually gets these decisions right and we will get on with it.
“From what I hear, either Carlos has read it wrong or someone is winding him up and he has reacted.”
