Diouf hoping for big impact

Senegalese striker Mame Biram Diouf is hoping to make a big impact when he joins Manchester United in January.

The centre forward was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in the Summer after scoring 29 goals in 63 games for Norwegian team Molde, but was immediately loaned back while a work permit was arranged.

After being granted a work permit, Diouf will be eligible to play for United when the January transfer window opens and he’ll be hoping to follow in the footsteps of another player to make the switch from Norway to Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“Playing for Manchester United has always been a dream of mine, ever since I was a small boy.

“I hope I will have a big impact in January and I am confident of playing very well.”
