Several top clubs (including United) passed up the opportunity to sign Stevan Jovetic, who also joined Fiorentina, and he's gone on to become one of the most promising players in the world right now. Judge Ljajic when he gets his chance in Italy and when you see him play, not on the basis that just because he didn't transfer to a major club means he can't be very good. Just because he’s signing for what you deem to be a smaller club than United doesn’t mean he isn’t a very good prospect.
