De Jong exposes himself to be as deluded as fans
Nigel De Jong’s recent comments in the press have exposed him as a true Manchester City player by emulating the delusion of their fans.
The combative midfielder has been in good form for the bitters this season, but appears to have had one or two knocks on the head judging by his latest words.
“I noticed from the moment I arrived in Manchester how many Blues there were compared to Reds,” he told the club’s official website.
It’s a strange comment for a number of reasons.
The first reason being that it simply isn’t true by any stretch of the imagination.
The second being that City regularly fail to fill their stadium. If there are so many City fans walking around on a daily basis why are they not in the council house on match days?
The third and most telling reason why De Jong’s comments are full of delusion is that Manchester United have enjoyed higher attendance figures than their bitter neighbours for over 70 years. This included periods out of the top flight and even several years where United shared Maine Road with City. That’s right, we had higher attendances than them in their own stadium!
So a big well done to Nigel De Jong for playing up to the berties and admitting to the world that he’s as deluded as they are.

They’ve been peddling the same lie for years. Manchester is about 70% red, always has been and always will be. No amount of bullshit from the liars will change that.

I must say whenever I travel to Manchester I always see Man City shirts but hardly any United – odd that? I am sure there are many United fans in Manchester, but there seems a lot more City.

It’s ridiculous really. They think we can attract 300 million fans from all over the world but can’t attract fans in our own post code. Even City fans don’t believe it, it’s just a lie they peddle to try and get one over us. That’s how bitter and desperate they’ve become after 35 years of fuck all.

Peter, if there are more City fans than United, how come they only fill their stadium when they play the big teams while Old Trafford sells out for every game despite being much bigger? I suspect you’re a City fan on a wind up. Only a fool would believe there are more blues than reds in Manchester. As is said in the article, we even had higher attendances when we shared their own stadium and have had bigger attendances for 70 odd years.

Everybody knows that United have not sold out their stadium on a regular bais for 2 years now. They are not recession proof. How can you trust a selective statistician from Stretford? How long is it since City won anything? 34 years. Well when we won the old division One in 2002 guess what trophy we got? Yes the same one Stretford picked up in 1967. Odd that isn’t it? It doesn’t count for us but it does for them. We all know things are changing but no doubt they’ll find something else to put up at Glazer Towers. If we put ours up for their debt we’d have to change the numbers every few minutes
February 19th, 2010
Dear United fans, your real enemy is the Glazers, not City. Don’t be distracted by City’s attempts to come up in the table; that is just what the Glazers want as they suck even more money out. And why do you think that Fergie keeps quiet on the debt issue? Well he’s working for the Glazers and understands what they want – the focus on City’s rise, not the rise in your incredible debt. Expect more ticket price rises for the Glazers’ pocket until the day they decide they have sucked out all the money they can and take a hike with their carpet bag full of your ticket money. All this talk of debt management is just a smokescreen for what is really going on. Behind all the talk they are setting up themselves to make a big, big profit once they sell your great club down the road.

Haha, pedmachine you embarrassment. You do realise we received that trophy in 1967 for being champions of England, not for winning the second tier as you did in 2002? Right? Part of me thinks you really might not…

Reply: WAZZA10 – You’ll never walk alone! We get the same with the bitters from Goodison, I agree with you the smaller teams are bitter & desperate. Whatever I think about United they are a massive club. I remember you were getting 60,000 in the 70′s in Division 1. Wish you were there now!

first off i’m a blue (yes i expect all you lot to start fireing away) and the fact you said you had more in maine road then we did is utter bollocks! in that time period on one our home games we had the highest attendance in english football history bar wembley fixtures, so your wrong mate (look it up). and our stadium is full every week, but so far this year the majority of away fans has let the attendance down. old trafford is 40% full of real rags, and the rest are tourists from god knows where. you call us bitter, but infact i’m much glad i go every week to a ground with atmosphere with fellow mancs rather than sitting their eating prawns sandwhiches with people that can’t even speak english or tell the referee to “fack off”. you can go on about your glory’s but i’d rather have a future then a past. PEACE you stretford pot hunters.

How can a club whose owner owns twelve per cent of the planet’s oil reserves be deluded into thinking that’s going to buy a lot of silverware. You sir are a wishful thinking cretin and I bet you live in Dorset..

Your comment is awaiting moderation.
Why would you call a club whose owner owns twelve per cent of the planet’s oil reserves be deluded in it’s ambitions to win silverware? It is inevitable and denying the thing only makes it funnier. Meanwhile, the other Manc team will soon go the way of Leeds.

@the pride of manc:
I have done my research pal, hence why I stated it as fact, not opinion.
Manchester united have had a higher average attendance every single year since 1947.
Between 1946 and 1949 United played at Maine Road whilst reconstruction work was being done on Old Trafford after the bombings in the war. In the first season, when City won the league, United had an average attendance of 4,662 more than City at their own stadium. In the second season, United had an average attendance of 12,165 more than City at their own stadium. In the third season, United had an average attendance of 10,109 more than City at their own stadium.
When United were playing in Division 2 during the 1974-1975 season, they still had the highest average attendance of any club in the country, including Division 1.

They say the volcanic dust in the air is coming from Iceland. Somebody calling in on MUTV yesterday insisted the dust in Manchester is all coming from the City trophy cabinet at Eastlands while spring cleaning. Hahaha 35 years and counting tick tock tick tock tick tock.

I FUCKING HATE CITY AND THEIR SCUM FANS.
