The damning figures of the Glazer regime
The Glazer regime has long been a subject of anger for many Manchester United fans. Others were of the ‘wait and see’ persuasion, while some were just plain ignorant of what was going on. What’s clear now though is that there is a growing army of Manchester United fans who have woken up and realized that the Glazer’s are cancerous leeches that are sucking our football club dry.
Gone are the days of quiet discontent. Now we hear anti Glazer songs at every home and away game and thousands fill the stands wearing green and gold. Without wanting to sound overly dramatic, the revolution IS in full flow and it appears it will only get stronger as more and more fans pick up on it.
Responding to criticism of the enormous debt the club is in, Chief Executive David Gill said, “people should be proud of what’s happening at Manchester United”. Have a read of these numbers and then see how proud you feel.
£716m – The debt as of February 2010.
£290 – The amount spent on interest and legal fees to service the debt as of June 2009.
£45m – Annual interest, from 2010 onwards.
£10m – Personal loans to the Glazer family from Manchester United.
£13m – The amount paid to the Glazer family in consultancy and management fees.
£6m – Net transfer spend since 2005. Just to be clear, this is not a yearly figure, this is the total net sum Manchester United have spent on players since the Glazer family took over.
50% – The average rise in ticket prices since 2005.
£0 – The amount of money spent on Manchester United from the Glazer’s pockets.
Are you proud of what’s happening at Manchester United like David Gill suggests you should be? If you are then you’re a numpty who shouldn’t be allowed near computers for your own safety. If not, do something about it today.

Let’s add a couple of figures to that.
£565 million – the amount that the Glazers will suck out of the club in interest, dividends and management fees between now and 2017.
£500 million the minimum amount of debt United will still have in 2017.
Appalling figures, anyone trying to justify the Glazers presence at United is deluded.
The Glazers hold the positions of Co-Chairman (2) and Non Executive Directors (4).
I am sure any new owners will provide a Chairman (this can even been done internally in the case of a mass buy out), and non executive directors – well i’m sure no-one really has to hold that kind of title anyway – they are probably trying to justify their “management fees” with that one!
i would prefer the club to be owned by supporters but i find all this “hate glazer” stuff bizarre and frankly distasteful. they bought the club fairly when it was available for all – including supporters – to buy and in fairness to them they have allowed the club to run. in gill and ferguson we have the best ceo and manager combination in the league and we should be grateful for that. why beat them up ? without them things could be a lot worse. yes the owners are taking money out of the club but they own it – lets get used to that. they put their position at risk in buying it so are entitled to rewards. they also want the club to do as well as possible so that it remains possible to make money and keep the cycle going. it could be a lot lot worse. by all means lets try and buy it but demonising glazers is childish and pathetic.
