Cleverley: Ole helped with my finishing

Tom Cleverley credits his impressive goal return this season with learning from United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The versatile midfielder is currently on loan at Championship side Watford and has scored 7 goals in 19 appearances for the club.

“Having Ole as a coach at United means your finishing is going to get better,” said Cleverley.

“You need a bit of luck, but I’ve been in the right spot to score. I’m aiming for double figures by the New Year.”

Cleverley is still hopeful of making the grade at United, but knows if Sir Alex gives him a chance in the first team he’ll have to take it.

“Whether I stay on loan depends on Sir Alex,” he continued. “Hopefully I will get a chance at United. If and when that comes, I’ve got to take it.”
