Berbatov praises strike partner Rooney

Dimitar Berbatov praised team mate Wayne Rooney for the way he bounced back from his error against Hull City yesterday.

Rooney was uncharacteristically at fault for United conceding the equalizer yesterday, but his determination to put right his error led to him creating the second and third goals to ensure united took home all three points.

“Wayne did fantastic for us – we were joking in the dressing room that he had three assists to his name!” Berbatov told MUTV.

“He bounced back after their goal and made both the second and third ones which was great.

“If he can keep playing the way we know he can then I don’t think anyone can stop him. He’s still young and the future is ahead of him.”
